WashU Political Science Department

I am the Communications Specialist for the Political Science Department at Washington University in St. Louis. In my role, I design, create, write, and schedule all social media posts for the department’s Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and Twitter. Along with social media, I write all news articles for the department relating to faculty and student successes (awards, grants, promotions, and more). Utilizing these news articles, I create a newsletter each semester that compiles the top pieces of news and updates into an easy to read highlight of the work our student and faculty do each semester. I also create new webpages, update current pages (copy, graphics, and images), and coordinate with department leadership on course descriptions, curriculum and major/minor tracks, and other important department documents.
